Colsaerts keeps home hopes alive

Nicolas Colsaerts kept the home flag flying as he progressed to the last 32 of the Belgian Knockout on Saturday morning at Rinkven International Golf Club.

After 36 holes of stroke play on days one and two, four Belgians remained in the 64-man field for the nine-hole stroke play knockout rounds but Colsaerts was the only one standing after round one.

The 2012 Ryder Cup star finished at three under after nine holes to beat Scot Richie Ramsay by one stroke, and will next face Italian Lorenzo Gagli – who went through via his seeding after finishing at two under alongside Frenchman Robin Sciot-Siegrist.
