American pair Kevin Kisner and Zach Johnson remained locked at the top of the leaderboard as they got to the turn on day three of the 147th Open Championship.
The halfway leaders began the day one stroke clear of the chasing pack on six under par but saw their advantage wiped out before teeing off in the final group at 16.00.
Kisner took the outright lead with a birdie at the third before picking up another shot at the long sixth to get to eight under.
Johnson got his third round off to a disappointing start, dropping a shot at the fourth to slip back to five under.
