Rory McIlroy Uncovered: How world No 4 narrowly avoided PGA Championship cut disaster

Fortunately the three-time Major winner was able to follow those four dropped shots with two birdies in his closing three in a round of one-over par 72 for a two-over tally.

It had McIlroy in the clubhouse trailing 10 shots behind early leader Kevin Kisner, who posted a second straight 67 to enjoy a five-stroke lead over American compatriot Rickie Fowler, who carded a 70.
