Tiger Woods: Jim Furyk makes big Ryder Cup claim ahead of the Valspar Championship

Woods was named as a vice-captain for the Ryder Cup last month ahead of September’s event.

The 42-year-old impressed at the Honda Classic with a top 12 finish as he steps up his return to the sport.

He is playing again this week at the Valspar Championship in Florida after a week off.

And Woods has admitted he wants to play in the Ryder Cup for an eighth time.
